Notre Dame requires all pupils to wear the correct uniform.  A smart uniform encourages a sense of community and develops a sense of pride and self-respect. 


One college blazer.

One college jumper.

One college tie.

One college skirt. Pinafores are not allowed.

One pair of dark grey college trousers (no black trousers allowed).

Grey socks.

Plain black shoes only. No trainers, canvas or fabric shoes allowed. Please see list of acceptable footwear below.


School bag including stationery.

Acceptable Footwear

  • Black flat shoe

  • Leather / looks like leather / patent

  • Any embellishments must be flat to the shoe

  • No Trainers (other than during P.E.)


Jewellery, except for a WATCH and one pair of STUDS worn in the lower ear lobe is NOT PERMITTED.

No bracelets allowed.

The school reserves the right to confiscate jewellery which is worn in breach of this school rule.


Make Up is not permitted for pupils.

Nail Varnish (e.g. gellish, shellac, acrylic nails etc.) is not permitted.

Please be advised:
  • In winter a dark coloured coat (navy/black) is allowed for the journey to and from school. Outdoor coats are not allowed to be worn in the school building.

  • Hats are not allowed inside the school building.

  • Chewing gum is not permitted.

  • Long hair must be tied back at all times.

  • Pupils are responsible for their own belongings. The school will not be held responsible for loss, damage or theft of belongings.

  • White open neck short sleeve blouse

  • Black box pleated skirt

  • Black v-neck cardigan with college badge

  • White short or long sleeve shirt with top button
  • Black trousers
  • Black jumper with college badge
  • Black tie
