Congratulations to our Year 8 and Year 9 students who completed the UKMT Junior Mathematics Challenge this year, achieving Bronze and Silver status.
The UK Mathematics Trust aims to promote a love of problem solving through their challenges. The Junior Mathematical Challenge is a 60-minute, multiple-choice Challenge. It encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.
Mr Cameron and Miss Marshall invited the twenty-one students who took part to celebrate their success as they were presented with their certificates and enjoyed pizzas and a class game of popular ITV show, ‘The 1% Club’ to continue flexing their logical, problem-solving brains.
Congratulations all – very well deserved!
