Year 7 EnvironLent

April 5, 2019

Year 7 have been raising environmental awareness during lent. They have been collecting plastic bottles with the goal of drawing attention to the damage plastic is having on our environment and in particular to our oceans. Representatives from each form came together to create a piece of art, using the bottles, to again raise awareness of the problem plastic causes in our environment.   Year 7 have also raised £100 pounds ,through various fund raising activities, to buy trees to plant in the school grounds to enhance the school environment. Each tree will have a plaque made, using up-cycled pieces of wood, displaying the EnvironLent logo, the name of the form group that planted the tree and the date.  This will be a legacy the Year 7 students can leave for future generations of Notre Dame students, showing they had a positive impact on the school environment and it will be a part of the school they can take real pride in.
