Year 11 EnvironLent

April 5, 2019

As part of the school’s ‘EnvironLent’ project, Year 11 students took part in the 'raid the money jar' challenge. Students were encouraged to donate spare change to their form ‘money jar’ collection. All money raised went towards world CAFOD gifts.

In addition, and part of the Mother’s Day celebrations, Year 11 helped support the healthy mother and baby campaign. This support, we hope, will continue to ensure access to medical treatment for pregnant mothers and new born babies whilst also providing extra food for children who are at risk of becoming malnourished.

Finally, Year 11 students sponsored a mother and baby; Delinah and her baby Muzina, from Zimbabwe. The resulting gift will help provide support for her to understand more about nutrition and the successful growth of crops. This will enable her and her family to continue to develop their knowledge and understanding around nutrition and the importance of eating a balanced diet.

Thank you and well done to all Year 11 students for your generous contributions.
