Miss O’Kane and the computing department have been running ‘The Duke of York Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award’ club, which enables students to engage in online activities which cover various topics from the computing curriculum.
When students complete tasks they are awarded points that count towards bronze, silver and gold certificates. This has been a well-attended club with 17 Year 7 students participating regularly since October. We want to congratulate in particular two students who have achieved their first award. The bronze award, signed by the Duke of York, was presented to these two students for the completion of 26 topics such as Game Design, Image Editing, Coding, E-Safety etc. Their dedication to the club and the subsequent achievement of 250 points is a fantastic start. They continue to participate regularly and are now completing topics and gaining points which will eventually enable them to achieve the silver award. We look forward to celebrating the success of other students taking part in the Digital Enterprise Award. Well done!
