Merseyside Road Safety Partnership performed a hard hitting play to our year 9 students on the importance and impact of road safety.
The play took place in the Dorothy Stang on Friday 19th October 2018.
Road safety chiefs on Merseyside have vowed to try and cut the number of deaths and serious injuries in the area’s roads by a third by 2020.
In a new strategy unveiled in October. Merseyside Road Safety Partnership says it wants to see the number of deaths and injuries slashed to an all time low of 400 within the next three years.
Our students said they found the performance to be ‘very powerful’ and ‘eye opening’. Some stated they are encouraged more than ever to use pedestrian crossings and cross safely at the lights whenever possible.
