Friday 18th May saw our annual 6th Form prom at the Marriot Hotel in Liverpool City Centre. It was an amazing evening where both students and staff took the opportunity to dress to impress.
We arrived to be greeted on the red carpet with Bucks Fizz, followed by formal portraits. We even managed to squeeze onto one picture: all 70 of us!
We then sat down for our 3 course meal which gave us all a chance to chat and discuss the beautiful dresses (yes even our boys love to talk about clothes!).
Once the meal ended, it was time for Head Girl, Ruby Molloy, alongside Deputy Head Girl, Sophie McCullough, to give their speech. It was lovely to hear about their memories of Notre Dame and what it meant, not only to them, but to the whole of their year group. The speech embodied the ethos of everything Notre Dame is, was, and will be for the future. It reflected on community and the love and respect shown by all, to all.
Once we had all dried our tears both of sadness and laughter, along came the entertainment…..a good old fashioned pub quiz! Both Olivia Hughes and Hannah Conlan made a fantastic job as our hostesses for the evening and had put a lot of work in making it both fun AND entertaining! We had to guess the baby, what’s the next song line, and they even threw in some pretty hard general knowledge questions for good measure. One of the highlights had to be our very own Mrs Harrison singing the answer to one of the songs.
We had two winning teams, the 6th form team (obviously) and the Science team, but unfortunately there also had to be a losing table - sorry Mr Bond!
Finally, our DJ got to play some tunes and the whole school was dancing into the wee hours! Such a fantastic time was had by all and it will definitely be a night we will never forget.
Thank you Year 13, it was a blast!
