Merseyside Hate Crime Awareness Week – Daisy UK
Notre Dame Catholic College welcomed a special guest into the college during 'Merseyside Hate Crime Awareness Week'.
Dave Kelly, the founder of ‘Daisy UK’, shared his own experiences of the crime and his feelings of isolation from society due to his loss of sight as a result of a rare eye disease. The charity works to break down barriers within society through the mediums of sport, education and employment.
Hate Crime Awareness Week is an important time to remind our students what constitutes a hate crime and what support is available. At Notre Dame we encourage our students to report and stand-up to any forms of hate crime in or outside of college.
