Ernst and Young visit to Notre Dame
On the 10th of November, a selection of students took part in a Q&A career session with a member of the Ernst and Young team. EY are a multinational organisation known for its reputation of being the largest professional service firms in the world. Olivia, who works for the company, gave an inspirational speech about what her role in the company entails and how they offer career paths for students who have a passion for business.
EY has 231,000 employees in over 700 offices around 150 countries in the world, which range from America to Africa and here in Liverpool. Olivia explained to students how she specialises in the task sector, providing financial advice to large-scale companies such as banks. The students learnt that EY also deliver assurance, transaction, and advisory services to capital markets and economies in the world working towards a "building a better working world".
The company have a wide range of career programmes to offer, including apprenticeships which are flexible for students as they can last for as short as one week to as long as three years.
