PSHCE - Citizenship British Values

November 28, 2017

During the beginning of the Autumn term all pupils completed a 'Citizenship Course'. This course covers mandatory topics for PSHCE, such as the importance of understanding and practising British Values.

Our prime British values include: the importance of democracy; the rule of law; tolerance of different cultures and religions; mutual respect and individual liberty. These key attitudes and skills, having been reinforced in lessons, are vital in the fight against hate crime.

Particularly, tolerance and mutual respect are the blockades to hate crime against some the minority groups in our society: the LGBT community, physical and mental disability groups, the gypsy and traveller community and other minority religious groups.
