With the promotion of anti-bullying week, a few weeks ago and with the Rainbow Laces campaign to make sport everyone's game. It is appropriate that Notre Dame highlights the fact that we have recently been awarded as a Stonewall School Champion for 2017.
Stonewall is a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights charity in the United Kingdom named after the Stonewall Inn of Stonewall riots fame in New York City's Greenwich Village.
Notre Dame is proud to stand with Stonewall, with its fight to let all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people, here and abroad, know they're not alone. We promise to tackle any homophobic, biphobia or transgender-phobia bullying in our college.
Like Stonewall, we believe we're stronger united, so our community can continue to find ways to flourish, and individuals can reach their full potential without facing prejudice or discrimination for who they are. We support those who can’t yet be themselves.
