Summer Attendance Challenge Winners

Over this last term we ran an attendance challenge for all students. Every student who had 100% attendance for a week was entered into a prize draw and winners were selected at random on the last day of term. The winners won: a Raleigh bike, a sweet hamper and Argos vouchers. Well done to the winners and all those who had 100% attendance weeks this term!

Food Bank Donations

Thanks to our fantastic pupils for showing how generous and caring they are by donating food for the North Liverpool Food Bank this week. We were told it is one of the biggest collections they have ever picked up. The organisation are coming into school in September to explain to staff and pupils where the food goes and how they organise their work. Thank you all for your generosity. Here is just some of the food you donated. EndFragment

Our students enjoyed watching the Netball World Cup at the M&S Bank arena yesterday. They got to play netball and compete in shooting activities outside the arena. Especially exciting was getting to meet Georgina Fisher from the England team and getting their netballs signed by her. Students also got interviewed by Radio One about their amazing day and how the competition has inspired them!

Little Shop of Horrors

The final summer performance of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ takes place on Wednesday 17th July at 6pm in the Dorothy Stang Theatre. This is the culmination of a huge amount of work from our music, dance and drama departments and students, who have worked tirelessly throughout the year in preparation for the show. The students have shown such commitment and dedication to the performing arts this year, and this piece allows them to showcase their talents. The range of talent across the performing arts is truly inspiring and it has been a pleasure to work with them during the rehearsals. We hope you enjoy the show as much as we have enjoyed working on it. Tickets are £5 with £2.50 concessions and

Pilgrimage to Rome

It has been an absolute delight to have taken 36 students to Rome for the 50th anniversary of the canonization of St. Julie. The students were truly a credit to Notre Dame and their families. Whilst in Rome the students visited the Vatican, St Peter’s Square and had Mass in the Pontifical Irish College. Each day was spent reflecting and considering the inspirational words of St Julie about how we can all live out her mission and vision ‘to do small things with great love’. It was a truly remarkable experience and a great honour to share the 50 years celebration with other Notre Dame schools from all parts of the country. This celebration was concluded by an incredibly strong, thought provo

Sports Day 2019

Wednesday 3rd July. The sun was shining and Notre Dame travelled to Wavertree to take part in our annual sports day. The best yet! Students, in droves, lined up on starting blocks to take part in a range of events to win a precious medal. Some medals were awarded to those students showing courage, determination and resilience. The highlight of the day was the staff relay; many of our most competitive teachers tried so hard to win the race but all in vain, as a Year 10 team consisting of Niamh, Lucy, Adam and Leyton reached the finishing post first. Well done to all students who took part in sports day. Their behaviour and team spirit were exemplary!

Boccia Champions

We would very much like to congratulate our Key Stage 3 Boccia team who have been crowned Merseyside champions. The team took part in the Merseyside Sport School Games Final which was held at Greenbank Sports Academy on the 4th July. Our team qualified top of their group after some competitive games against some fantastic competitors. They then went on to edge a very close semi-final against The Academy of St Nicholas, Liverpool followed on by a nail biting final against The St Augustine of Canterbury School, Canterbury. After both schools showed amazing skills the final went down to a tie break which thankfully our students won! We would like to congratulate all students involved and a huge
