Meeting Liverpool team before the Stoke match

I loved Saturday because I’ve always wanted to meet the players. My favourite moment of the day was when we made a tunnel outside the players changing rooms and high fived all the Liverpool players- it was awesome to high five Mo Salah. I was really nervous about going on the pitch to wave the flag but when I got out there I loved it. Being able to walk on the pitch at Anfield during a game was such a great opportunity and I know I was a very lucky girl to do this. Even though there were no goals in the game and it was a draw I still had one of the best days ever. I want to thank Liverpool FC, Mr Bond and Miss Wishart for making it such a great day.

Bard Turns 454!

On Monday 23rd April, the English and drama departments celebrated William Shakespeare’s 454th birthday. As part of the festivities, students were encouraged to find and memorise facts about the famous playwright which were dotted in secret locations around the college. At break on Monday, students were then able to recite their findings to a member of staff from the English department in exchange for a slice of birthday cake. The showcase featured elaborate costumes and was made up of snippets from some of Shakespeare’s most famous works, including ‘Romeo and Juliet’, ‘Macbe

We also discussed different routes into law, the subjects that would assist in sustaining a career in law as well as the benefits of either being a solicitor or a barrister. Prudence focusses mainly on family law in her chambers and she talked us through a typical case and what she does on a day to day basis. She also brought in her cap and gown and it was great to be able to try it on. On behalf of

Meeting Mo Salah!

Recently, we were invited by Liverpool Football Club to bring along 4 of our best students to take part in a schools' commentary competition run by LFC TV. The winning pair would get to meet Mo Salah and potentially commentate on a game featured on LFC TV. As expected, the interest from students was very high and after auditioning around 20 students, Mrs Harrison selected Jacob, Thomas, Patrick and Harry to take part. Before the competition began the students were given some commentating tips from former LFC player and now LFC TV presenter Jason McAteer. What our students didn't know was that they would all get a chance to meet Mo Salah-but not in a way they expected. As each pair of st
