Notre Dame leads 5 Schools in City Wide Dementia Awareness Performance at The Everyman Theatre.

Notre Dame on Monday 6th Novemeber will lead 5 schools from across the city in a unique collaboration between the Everyman, musicians from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the charity Music In Mind that raises awareness around dementia. Hidden Voice is a multimedia piece derived from the testimonies of people living with dementia and uses the melodies and intonations of speech to give a voice to the emotional world behind the condition. Each school will present a dramatic interpretation of a theme from the Hidden Voice leading to a full performance of the piece in the second half by an ensemble of musicians from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. 9MA Raised Money for Macmillan

9MA raised £103.00 for Macmillan charity on the 31/10/2017 hosting a Halloween cinema event. They played Hocus Pocus and sold sweets and treats in the Dorothy Stang theatre. 9MA also hosted a football event for Macmillan which raised £20. It costs £30 a day for a nurse. We are sure the money raised will be put to good use.

McDonalds Reward 11J

Well done to 11Julie who were the first form to receive their reward from Mrs Harrison, our Head Teacher. the pupils had an opportunity to go to McDonald's with their Head of Year and form tutor. The reward was paid for by the school and is designed to motivate our pupils to be in school on time every day with the correct uniform and the right attitude to learn. Well done 11Julie!!

Year 7 Merseytravel Field Trip

On the 4th October 2017; Miss Wishart, Mr Bond and a group of year 7 students went on a Merseytavel trip. The students had a variety of activities throughout the day and used various types of transport. In the morning the students walked to town to the main security centre in Queen’s Square. The students were met by Bill who took them to the train station were they learned about keeping safe by the tracks and then the students took a trip on the train from Liverpool to Birkenhead. At Birkenhead the students learned about the Three Graces and Liverpool’s historical and distinctive waterfront.
