E-Safety Agreement As the parent or legal guardian of the child referred to in this form, I grant permission for my child to have access to the Internet, email and other ICT facilities at Notre Dame Catholic College.
I am aware that my child will be required to sign their own e-safety agreement form when they join Notre Dame Catholic College in/from September 2023 aand that they will be provided a copy of our Responsible Rules for ICT use policy.
I accept that ultimately my child cannot be held responsible for the nature and content of material accessed through the internet and mobile technologies, but I understand that the college will take every reasonable precaution to keep pupils safe and to prevent pupils from accessing inappropriate materials. These steps include using an educationally filtered service, restricted access email, employing appropriate teaching practice and teaching e-safety skills to pupils.
I understand that the college can check my child's computer files, and the internet sites visited and that if they have concerns about their e-safety or e-behaviour that they will contact me.

I give permission for the use of digital images / photography and video I agree to allow Notre Dame Catholic College to capture and share photographs or video recordings of my child in support of learning activities or publicity that reasonably promotes the work of the college. Publicity can include, but is not limited to the college website, college social media channels, publications such as the college newsletter/prospectus'/posters or event coverage.
I understand that the college can store/use these images/video recordings for up to 24 months after my child has left. I understand that any image or video captured of my child will not be used or shared for any other purpose than that which is stated here.

Why we collect and use this information
We collect this information so that we have a full profile of each student in order that we meet their individual needs.
We use this personal data to:
a. support these children and monitor their progress,
b. provide them with pastoral care,
c. assess the quality of our services,
d. evaluate and improve our policies on children’s social care.
We use guidance taken from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and this provides the legal bases we rely on for processing personal information.

Who we share this information with
We routinely share elements of student information with:
• the Department for Education (DfE),
• examination boards (anonymised),
• Liverpool Local Authority,
• Other local agencies including Merseyside Police
• relevant care and health workers.
We do not share information about our children in need or children looked after with anyone without consent unless the law and our policies allow us to do so.
The Department for Education
The Department for Education (DfE) collects personal data from educational settings and local authorities via various statutory data collections. We are required to share information about our students with the Department for Education (DfE).
We share children in need and children looked after data with the Department on a statutory basis, under Section 83 of 1989 Children’s Act, Section 7 of the Young People’s Act 2008 and also under section 3 of The Education (Information About Individual Pupils) (England) Regulations 2013.
All data is transferred securely and held by DfE under a combination of software and hardware controls which meet the current government security policy framework.

Requesting access to your personal data

Withdrawal of consent and the right to lodge a complaint
Where we are processing your personal data with your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent - It is very rare for the college to uses permission by consent and on such occasions you will be informed as to the reasons. If you change your mind, or you are unhappy with our use of your personal data, please let us know by contacting Ms H McCullen
