Commitment Statement
The members of the Design and Technology
team are committed to the education of all
students. We will aim to:
• Deliver a clear understanding of Design
and Technology in the wider context of the
College, the community and enterprise.
• To Create a stimulating learning
environment which will encourage creativity
and innovation.
• Encourage students to use their Design and
Technology capabilities across other areas
of the curriculum.
• Promote independent learning along with
the value of being a team member.
In terms of development of both staff and
development the following are to be strived
for:
• All students will achieve the best possible
GCSE grade.
• students will gain a better understanding of
Design and Technology in KS3 so that the
transition into KS4 will run smoothly.
• A common monitoring and assessment
strategy is followed so that all areas are
promoting continuity.
